We all look forward to when our puppies will be house trained. While your puppy is being raised by our family, your puppy is doing most of it's business outside. When puppies are outside I am telling the to "Go Potty" and when they go I'm saying "Good girl/boy". I take them outside first thing in the morning when I wake around 5:30. They go outside throughout the day after naps, to play and then before bedtime.
Your puppy will need to continue potty training for quite some time after delivered. Whenever you take your puppy out of the crate, take it where you want the puppy to go. When you put your puppy down ask her/him to "Go Potty" or whatever term you decide to use. Start praising as soon as it starts to go pee/poop in a excited, happy voice, cotons respond very well to praise.
When your puppy has an accident in the house, clean it up and say nothing. Potty training requires consistency, commitment, patience and must have supervision. Supervision is required for the praise.
